Design and Height Requirements
Fences in Beverly Hills can be built using any common fence type/material.
If you are building a privacy fence, you cannot exceed a max height of 6 feet tall and cannot exceed a max height of 4 feet tall for ornamental fences and chain link fencing.
In no situations will barbed wire or any sharp object be allowed on a residential fence.
All fences installed in Beverly Hills must be built using their own support structure/posts and cannot be fastened to an existing fence (with the exception of shared corner posts).
You must also install all fences with the finished side (also called good side) of the fence facing your adjacent neighbor rather than your property.
